Dolores T. Yeadon

Dolores T. Yeadon, 91, of Indianapolis, passed away January 24, 2020. She was born May 26, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Earl W. and Mary Agnes (Burns) Blanchard. A devoted member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for over 55 years, Dolores was active in church renewals, with a passion for the Cursillo Movement. Seeking to deepen her faith, she became an oblate for the Sisters of St. Benedict. She was especially talented in sewing and needlepoint, and she baked the finest cinnamon bread and dinner rolls in the Midwest. She loved with a servant heart and was loved immensely in return. Dolores is survived by her 15 children, Bill (Colleen) Yeadon, Mike (Yvonne) Yeadon, Carol (Ron) McGuire, Mark (Teri) Yeadon, Mary Therese (Kevin) Jardina, Patty Yeadon, Nancy Yeadon, Sister Kathleen Yeadon, OSB, Tim (Beth) Yeadon, Mary Frances Yeadon, John (Tracy) Yeadon, Margaret (Joe) Schneider, Suzanne (James Ingram) Yeadon, Jennifer (Larry) Winters, and Joe (Wendy Morris) Yeadon. Also surviving are her 47 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Barbara Doran Dunbar. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Yeadon, in 1993, after 45 years of marriage. Also preceded in death by her sister Arlene Rogel, brother Earl “Bud” W. Blanchard Jr., brother-in-law Raymond Doran, and great-grandson Jonathan David McMasters. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2020, from 2-6 p.m. at Leppert Mortuary – Nora Chapel, 740 E. 86th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020, at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4217 Central Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.
