

Eva Frances Flint, passed away on November 29, 2025, at the age of 101. Born on February 10, 1924, in West Plains, Missouri, she lived a life full of love and dedication to her family, community and Lord.
Eva graduated from Holtville Union High School in Holtville, California, in 1942. She went on to have a fulfilling career, ultimately retiring from Fairfax County Public Schools, in Fairfax,VA in the late 1990’s.
Eva was married to Julian Winston Flint, who preceded her in death in June of 2011. Their union was a testament to love and partnership, and together they built a family she cherished deeply. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Shields, and her son, Richard Flint (LeAnn). Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Kenny Shields, Hannah (Shields) Sharkey, Amy Bickett, Peyton Flint and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her immediate family, Eva is survived by her sister, Virginia Ritter of California. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert L. Pinkerton, her brother, Orval Walker and parents, Sarah Walker and Orval Walker, Sr.
Eva was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was formerly associated with Manassas Baptist Church in Manassas, VA. Her faith and community involvement were cornerstones of her life, and she touched many lives with her kindness, generosity and wit.
Services for Eva will be private for the family. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her and she will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and church communities.
