Oh my gosh,I worked with Tori at laughter's cafeteria, such a smart lady. We have kept in touch throughout the years. My heart is heavy, just an amazing gal. Now you can rest Tori.

                           It is often expressed that we live in a time when people do not know their neighbors. Victoria was an exception. From the day I moved next door, she was a very sharing and caring neighbor. She even took a moment to write down my sister’s names when they came so the next time they were in town or we sat and talked, she'd remember who they were. 
                               Often, I enjoyed her 'storytelling' of the adventures behind her flowers, or a certain rock or of her trimming a bush or a tree. As my grandchildren assisted her in the yard on occasion, inevitably they learned valuable life lessons - for they would return and speak of persistence even though it was clear she was not always feeling well.
                               Victoria touched every person in my family as well as friends who would visit with her genuine welcoming spirit. I am more than grateful that I have some of her poems to read while the various chimes she gifted me ring softly in the breeze.
                                Be blessed Victoria, no more pain
                                       as you rest in the presence 
                                                         of the Lord.    


My adult children and I are remembering Tori's generosity,  giving heart and joyous soul.  Always enjoyed family gatherings with Tori, many years ago.   Sad we lost touch over the years.



I really appreciated Tori for her hospitality, humor, and caring despite being in pain and suffering from illness.   Courage comes to mind when I think of her.   It is a word often used, but it definitely applied to Tori.   She was a free spirit whose spirit is now free of pain.
My sympathies to Odo and her family.

It saddens me to have lost such a dear and close friend.  Tori and I have been friends for a long time.  We started out as co-workers and that’s where our friendship began. We both have been through a lot over the years, me getting married and having kids and Tori’s life more adventurous than mine,  but we always knew we were there for each other if need be.  She was the kind of friend you could go weeks or even months without talking to and then when you did, pick up where you left off from your last conversation.  Sharing good times, from race day cook outs to my son’s wedding,  Tori was part of my family. I hope she knew how much she meant to me and that I loved her for being her.  I will miss my long time friend.  

Victoria was a longtime friend, and I have many fond memories of birthday parties, eating at Sakura restaurant, and dressing up in kimonos for the International festival.  She was always interesting and hilariously funny but could also write beautiful serious poetry and was a great entertainer at her house and kept in touch by telephone.  She will be missed as a very unique and cherished friend.
