

James “Jim” Patrick Clendenin 67 years old of Carmel, IN formerly of Indianapolis, IN passed away in his home on Monday November 3, 2025. Born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK, Jim was an avid kayaker and lover of the arts. Jim graduated with his Masters of Accounting from the University of Oklahoma in 1985. Jim married his first wife Paula (Radosevich) and they moved to Indianapolis where he continued his career as a CPA and CFO. Jim was a devout Catholic and attended Immaculate Heart of Mary in Indianapolis. Jim enjoyed travel, sports, and volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul of Indianapolis along with being a part of his Bourbon and Books meeting group and his weekly meeting of his Curisillo lunch. Jim and Carolyn were married in September of 2023 and Jim loved his “instant family”, especially his grandchildren. Jim is survived in death by his wife Carolyn (Moore) Coffelt-Clendenin, his children Cynthia, Justin, Laura, Dave (W), Rebekah, and Dave (E), his grandchildren Robert, Timothy, Leah, and Lavani, his best friends Chris and Monica Foye, his siblings Ann (Lydia) Clendenin, Cathy (Richard) Hammarsten, and Steven (Karol) Clendenin, his nieces Krystal and Kasey, and his great nieces Breanna and Peyton. Jim was preceded in death by his parents James Philip Clendenin and Mary Annette (Wolfe) Clendenin, his first wife Paula Rodosevich, and his brother-in-law Richard Hammersten. The Funeral Mass will be held on December 6, 2025 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Viewing will start at 11am and the Mass will start at 1pm. Any donations can be made directly to Speedway Baptist Church or St. Vincent DePaul of Indianapolis.
