

Jim was born and raised in Chicago Heights and attended St. Agnes Catholic Grade School and Bloom High School. He attended Thornton College and Bloom Community College before graduating from Worsham College of Mortuary Science. He worked as a funeral director for over fifty years in the Chicago area.
Jim’s Catholic faith was very important to him, and he was an active member of St. Kieran Catholic Church in Chicago Heights and St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Catholic Church in Tinley Park, IL before moving to Indianapolis, IN. He was most recently a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carmel, IN. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Kiwanis Club. He spent his life serving others both in his profession and in volunteer work. He cherished his time visiting families in need through his work with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was proud to have received an award for recognition of his many years of outstanding service to the SVDP Society of Chicago.
Jim is lovingly remembered by his wife, Fran (Uccello) Cull; his children, James A. (Elizabeth) Cull, Daniel (Mia) Cull, Anthony (Lucy) Cull, and Rosanne (Michael) Ososki. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Morgan (Rees) Linville, Grace Cull, Ryan Ososki, Anna Ososki, Sara Ososki, Theo Cull-Whitlock, and Anthony Cull-Whitlock; and great grandfather to Noah Linville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Anna Cull; his brothers, Gerald Cull and Robert Cull; and his sisters, Joanne Kirgis and Jane Cleveland.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 10655 Haverstick Rd., Carmel, IN 46033. Visitation will be from 9 AM until time of Mass at the church. Burial will be private at Resurrection Cemetery, Madison, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local St. Vincent de Paul Society.
