She worked at St. Vincent’s Hospital and later in home care where she touched so many lives. She was a favorite of her home care families, always going beyond the duties of a nurse. Jane loved being active. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a bowling league, volunteered at a food pantry and was a member of the Indianapolis Hiking Club. She loved walking her beloved dog Eddie who accompanied her just about anywhere she went. Anyone who knew Jane knew her passion for healthy eating. From the macrobiotic diet, organic everything, to juicing, she was always passionate about food. She loved to cook and always made sure her family and friends were well fed.
Jane cherished helping to raise her grandchildren, Olivia, Charlie and Harrison Boe. Gymboree, music lessons, the Indianapolis Zoo and Children’s Museum - she didn’t miss an opportunity to enrich their lives. Later, she was a frequent spectator at their performances and athletic events. She never missed an opportunity to support them in their endeavors. Jane was a passionate follower of Christ. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis and active in bible study. She did not fear death, and looked forward to going to the Lord’s embrace.
