Joan Carr Miller

21 juin 19366 février 2023
Joan Carr Miller June 21st 1936, Loris Joan was born to parents Louis Ellsby Carr and Loris Lindsey Carr. Joan grew up in Rockport, Indiana with three brothers and one sister. She graduated from Rockport High School, and in the 1970s, graduated from Okland City College with a B.A. in Art History. When her husband, Robert Scott Miller, was attending Indiana University to attain his Masters Degree, Joan supported him as he pastored the General Baptist Church in Dixon, Kentucky. This led to the naming of their first son as "Dixon". Son Gene and daughter Carolyn appeared not long thereafter. In her later years, Joan spent time working in Real Estate and in retail for Kmart. As a hobby, she produced many fine quilts with the aid of her daughter and women at a local church. Joan's love of Art caused her to believe that everyone should have a beautiful house inside and she always kept a beautiful house herself. She passed her love of Art on to all her children, including her one survivor, Gene Carr Miller. On February 6th, 2023, Joan Carr Miller passed to a better world.
