

John (Jack) Wieck Atkins died December 13, 2022. He was born January 25, 1961. Jack grew up mostly in Indianapolis with a few years in Roanoke, Virginia. He was the baby in the family of five children. He was a friend to all and a stranger to none. He was a kind-hearted soul with a helpful spirit and would always help anyone in need. Jack lived each day as it came, never worried about the future, and had no regrets for the past. He worked most of his life at Atkins Elegant Desserts. His great passion was cooking. You would often find him cooking at The American Legion. Jack will be missed. His parents, Thomas K. Atkins and Jeanne W. Atkins, his brother, Thomas K. Atkins, Jr., and sister, Laura Atkins Strand preceded him in death. He is survived by a sister and brother, Lisa A. Millner and Patrick J. Atkins, his Uncle Jon Atkins, Aunt Mary Dee Stiebel, and Aunt Connie Sorkin, as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins. A graveside service to remember Jack will occur at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery (9001 Haverstick Road) at 11:30 AM on January 3, 2023.
