48, of Indianapolis, departed this life at his home on Monday, February 28, 2022. Paul was born October 11, 1973 in Indianapolis. He was a graduate of Warren Central High School and the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Paul then worked for the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and then Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. He was a kind and gentle soul who always put his family first. Paul loved fostering his boys in all of their endeavors and was happiest just having fun with his family. He enjoyed raising German Shepherds, training the family’s horse, family trips camping at McCormick’s Creek State Park and never met a waterpark he didn’t like. He loved backyard grilling, University of Texas Football and all things ice hockey.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Brycelyn McKenzie; his devoted sons, Connor & Arie Ziliak; beloved brother, Lee (Natalie) Ziliak; dear brother-n-law, Jason (Beth) McKenzie and nephew, Alec McKenzie and nieces, Camryn & Maggie McKenzie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested for an education fund to be established for Connor & Arie.
