Ronald G. Isaac

Ronald G. Isaac, 79, of Indianapolis, departed this life on Thursday, March 31, 2022. He was born April 1, 1942 in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Daniel J. and Lucile (Nicholson) Isaac. Ron grew up and attended Terre Haute and Indianapolis schools and then earned his degree in political science from Indiana University in 1967. He then earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University in Indianapolis in 1972.

Ron had practiced law in Indianapolis since 1972. He had also served for the Human Rights Commission of Indianapolis and the Indiana Civil Rights Commission.

Ron was a member of the Indiana Bar Association and had served as president of the Keystone Corridor Association. Ron was a good man of integrity and discipline. His many clients over the years became his best of friends. He always put the needs of others before his own. He was a kind and gentle soul who loved the outdoors, walks with his wife and dog Buddy, exploring new places, following politics, listening to NPR and rarely passed on an opportunity to eat ice cream.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sharon (Haynes) Isaac whom he married on November 28, 1964 in Indianapolis. He is also survived by his brother, Tom (Charlene) Isaac; sister, Carol Lynn (Hugh) Barclay; grateful nieces and nephews, Eastin (Gabriela) Isaac, Andrea (Daniel) Beier and Daniel (Carol Sudtelgte ) Rouse; his devoted dog Buddy as well as a host of dear friends and colleagues.

A casual gathering to celebrate Ron’s life will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Overlook Club House, 8511 Overlook Parkway, Indianapolis, Indiana.
