William Harley Cook born November 30, 1942 to George H. and Ruth Snyder Cook graduated from Moravian Academy in Bethlehem PA, Westminster College in New Wilmington PA, and the Indiana School Of Social Service.
Bill worked at the Marion County Juvenile Court, was director for the group homes for the Children's Bureau of Indianapolis and was coordinator of in-patient child and adolescent services for Gallahue Mental Health Center at Community Hospitals. He has been in private practice since 1976 with his long-term office partner, Beth Fineberg, PHD.
He is predeceased by his sister, Carol Diane Cook, his brother, George Rodney Cook, his grandson, Mark Cook, and his long-time companion, Hannah Cook.
Bill has two children: David W. Cook and Amy Cook (David) Leonard, and five grandchildren: Drew, Sophia, Oliver, Samuel, and Ben.
Bill was supported, loved and cared for, for nearly 20 years, by his ‘chosen family,' Todd and Katie Robinson.
Bill was also a member of Second Presbyterian Church—where he served as a Deacon and Elder.
Billy also enjoyed being a long-time member of Woodstock Club and The Players.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 12-2 PM followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM, all at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.
