William Sadlier

William Sadlier passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. He was born July 12, 1940; the son of George and DeEtta Sadlier, both deceased. Bill enjoyed growing-up on his parents' farm just east of the town of Castleton, Indiana. He attended John Strange grade school, Shortridge High School and graduated from Park School. He then attended and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. After graduation, he entered active service in the Army as a second Lieutenant. After leaving active military service, Bill worked at Inland Mortgage Company, Baron Insurance Agency and the J.W. Flynn Agency, subsequently Old National Insurance. He was involved with many business, charitable and social organizations some of which were The Mortgage Bankers Association, Indianapolis Real Estate Assn, Pennsylvania Alumni Club, Woodstock Club, The University Club, Crows Nest Skeet Club, Traders Point Hunt and The Humane Society of Indianapolis. Survivors include his three loving daughters, Barbara Dee (Bridget) Sadlier, Elizabeth Sadlier (Howard) Hope and Brandee K. Marksberry, five wonderful grandchildren, sister, Linda (John) Axe, one niece and one nephew. A visitation for William will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Leppert Mortuary – Nora, 740 East 86th St, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240. No Flowers please.
