Agnes Jane MacDonnell It is with great sadness that we announce that mom has peacefully passed away on December 17, 2009, at the Inverary Manor, Inverness. She was born September 17, 1917 in L’Ardoise, the youngest of 4 sisters who were separated at an early age. She loved playing cards and winning even more. She is survived by 4 of her children; Christena , Mississauga, Peter (Claire), Inverness, Frank (Michelle), Inverness, and Josephine (David), Halifax, 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all.She was predeceased by her husband, Archie, daughter, Anne Marie MacLeod (Jack), and infant daughter, Theresa. She was a longtime member of St. Margaret’s of Scotland Parish, Broad Cove. Visitation will be held in the Inverness Funeral Home on Friday December 18 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service to take place at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 19, 2009 at St. Margaret’s of Scotland, Broad Cove, Inverness with Fr. Duncan MacIsaac officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Margaret’s of Scotland Cemetery Fund or to a charity of one’s choice.
