

Timmons Archibald, age 82 of Inverness. With loving memories and hearts full of sadness the family of Archibald " Iron Archie" announces his passing on October 2 , 2017 in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family in his 82 year. Dad's story begins on January 3, 1935. Born in Pleasant Bay to the late Clarence Timmons and Marcella Fraser-Shaw. Dad lived most of his life in Inverness working as a pulp cutter. Dad was a hard worker who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, the outdoors, walking, mom's cooking, long drives, music and his family. At the age of 19, dad met the love of his life Elizabeth (MacKinnon, predeceased, May, 2017) whom he was married to for 62 years. Also predeceased by infant son, Alexander. Dad will be sadly missed by his daughters, Marie (A.D.), Jean (Ivan), Celeste (Brian), Inverness; sons, Lee (Sandra), St. Margaret's Village; Timmy (Jackie), Sydney; Clarence (Tracey), Whitehorse; Lester (Terry), Fairview; Jay, Whitehorse. Dad will be fondly remembered by his 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; each one held a special place in his heart. Dad is also survived by his sister, Diana (William), Mabou, and lovingly remembered by the MacKinnon-Shaw family. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held in St. John's United Church, Strathlorne on October 28 from 10-10:45 a.m. with a celebration of life to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Maggie Plant as celebrant. Burial to follow in St. John's Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia. The family would like to thank the wonderful and dedicated staff of Inverary Manor and ICMH who took such good care of our dad. We will forever remember Dad as a kind soul, with amazing wit and one-liners. As the story continues, until we meet again, Dad we love and miss you. Dad and Mom are together again.
