Christena Florence Hannigan

It is with great sadness and loss that we announce the passing of our precious mother Christena Florence (Timmons) Hannigan on January 28th 2022 at the Inverary Manor. She was surrounded by her children and passed peacefully.

Christena was born on November 20th 1945 to the late William and Johnena (Shaw) Timmons.

Christena is survived by her children : Shane (Mona) Hannigan of Belle Cote NS, Lisa (Robert) MacFarlane of South West Margaree NS, Russell (Angel) Hannigan of Saskatchewan, Richard (Melody Drake) Hannigan of Valley NS, Francis (Gloria Ross) Hannigan Belle Cote NS, Mary (Denis) Doiron Courtice ON. Her precious brother Earl (lovingly known as Uncle Earl) 14 Grandchildren 11 Great Grandchildren.

Christena was predeceased by an infant daughter named Alice, precious grandson Davin Riley Hannigan and the father of her children Harry Francis Hannigan. Brothers: Benny, Donald, William, Elva, Brian, David. Sisters: Eileen and Hattie.

We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the team at the Inverary Manor. The team went above and beyond to make sure our time with our mom was as peaceful and comfortable as possible. Your love and support was needed and certainly appreciated. We also want to thank Dr. Ritter and his palliative care team who answered our questions and checked in on mom on a regular basis.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday August 9 at 11 a.m. in St, Patrick's Church, North East Margaree, with burial to follow in Wilson United Cemetery, Margaree Center.
