Ferdinand "Fern" Foch MacNeil

Fern was born June 11, 1943. He was the youngest son of the late John Colin and Janet MacDonald-MacNeil (of Inverness).

He was a member of Stella Maris Church, Inverness. Fern was employed by Stora Forest Industries for many years.

Friends and family of Fern’s could always count on a cup of tea when they visited.

Fern is survived by his wife Emeryne; brother, Ainslie; sister-in-law, Charlene (Tim Foley); brothers-in-law, Darryl (Ferne Hart), Derwyn Hart; first cousin, May MacNeil; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by sisters, Bridget and Mary Catherine (in infancy), Lorraine (Stan), Rita (Jackie); brothers Donald, Francis, Gerald and Douglas.

Fern will rest in Inverness Funeral Home on Friday, August 31st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held in Stella Maris Church, Inverness on Saturday, September 1st at 11 a.m. with Father Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
