Flora Louise Cummings

The daughter of the late John James and Theresa (Doyle) MacKenzie of South West Margaree and wife of the late John Robert Cummings, Mabou Harbour.

She is survived by sons; John (Grace), Enfield, Gerard (Wilma), Mabou, daughter; Doreen (Gordie) Gillis, Port Hood, brothers; Allan, John Hughie, Angus and Ricky, sisters; Cindy, Eleanor, Cathy and Johnena.

Flora also leaves behind and cherished 5 grandchildren, Jenna, James, Dawson, Riley and Sierra.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, and friend to many. She was an avid baker and enjoyed sharing her talent with the many friends who knew her.

Thank you to staff and nurses at Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital, Drs. Susie Egar and Rhea MacDonald, Palliative Care Nurses, Laurieann MacDonald and Johnena, who gave wonderful care to mom.

Visitation will be held in the vestry of St Mary's Church, Mabou on Thursday from 4-9 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held in St Mary's Church on Friday at 11 a.m. with Father Bernie MacDonald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to central Inverness Palliative Care Society.
