

Pellerin James Gerald "Jimmy" Age 71, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Born in Larry’s River, Guysborough, Co. on April 21, 1943, he was a son of the late Joseph and Irene (Richard) Pellerin. Jimmy was a member of St. Peter’s Church, Port Hood. He worked as a carpenter and loved pleasures in life such as Hunting, fishing, and a great game of cards. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sylvia; son, Kevin (Angela); daughter, Cathy (Colin) Rankin; grandchildren, Mason, Hudson, Matthew and Aiden who he was so proud of. He is also survived by brothers, Lloyd and Tommy; sisters, Leona (Brian), Margie, Florence (Peter), Donna (Arnold), Joyce (Fred), Cathy; many nieces and nephews. Jimmy was predeceased by brother, Roland; sisters, Marion and Betty and two in infancy. Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 30, in Port Hood & Area Resting Place from 4-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 1 at 11 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church, Port Hood with Fr. Vincent vanZutphen officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or to St. Peter’s Parish Cemetery Fund, Port Hood.
