John Francis MacDonald

John was a quiet, humble man who will be remembered for many things including his wicked sense of humor and quick wit (no one could throw a one-liner like him), his musical talent (though he was often reluctant to share it, he had it in spades) and his love of a good scoff. John leaves behind to grieve his devoted partner, Donna; daughters, Diane, Judy (Rob), Patricia (Dean); grandchildren, Teagan, Ryan, Eilidh, Sarah, Gus, Finlay, and Alistair; sisters, Ann (Gerard) and Mary, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, John Finlay and Mary Sarah; infant son, Jeffrey Francis; brothers, Alexander, ID, DA, Collie, and Kenneth Joseph; sisters, Mary Catherine, Catherine Florence, Theresa, and Rita; and three siblings in infancy, Sara Anne, Dan Archie, and William Francis.

Cremation has taken place. At John’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside ceremony for family and friends will be held in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery, Mabou, where he will be laid to rest with his beloved mother.
