Keith Wade Gillis

He is survived by his son, Logan Gillis and his siblings, Mary Annette (Jerry) Gillis, Johnena (James) MacFadyen, Kevin (Carolann) Gillis, Roxanne (Ronnie) MacPhee, and Danita (Aaron) Gillis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews who he dearly loved, Haley and Harrison MacFadyen; Mira, Dane and Daria Gillis; and Danni Rae and Mallory MacInnis.

Wade was predeceased by his two infant brothers, Peter and Darcy Gillis.

Wade treasured simple moments in life with family and friends, whether it was playing a game of cards or just telling lively stories over a cup of tea. He also had a great passion for underground mining and vehicles built for speed. Sharing a laugh and making people laugh were two of his favorite things.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 19, in the vestry of St Mary's Church, Mabou, from 4-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in St Mary's Church, Mabou, with Father Bernie MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St Mary's Parish Cemetery Fund, Mabou.
