With broken hearts, we announce that our beloved mother, Margaret “Babs” Roberts (nee MacDonnell), passed on Tuesday April 8, 2025, at the age of eighty-nine. Babs was a gentle soul and an exemplary human being. She embodied the best qualities; unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her family and friends. She touched so many lives in Gaspe and in Inverness with her handmade crochet gifts that were more than just keep sakes, but rather, they were loving pieces made from her heart. The world is a little less bright without her in it. She will be deeply missed.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that Mom is now at peace and taken her seat in the living room reunited with Norma, Nelda, Bud, Buppy, Grampa (Archie) and Gramma (Margaret); watching all the horror movies she wants and where her coffee cup is never empty.
Margaret “Babs” will be lovingly remembered by her children, Bertha (Ellis), Zenia (Stefane), and Susanna. Her precious grandchildren, Melissa (Nick), Cody (Marquita) and Maria Christina; great grandchildren, Logan, Adeline, Anna and Claire. She also leaves behind her brothers, Ronald “Buppy” (Lizzy), Laughie (Ardyth), Alex “Hubba” (Mary Catherine), Alfred “Bud,” and Billy (Josephine); sisters, Mary Florence “Sissy” (James), Shirley, Josie (Bobby), Donelda “Nelda” (John), Kathleen (Frankie), Norma (Kenneth) and Susie (Lawley).
You will always be loved and never forgotten.
