Margaret (lauchie) MacIsaac

MacIsaac, Margaret Ann (Lauchie) – 98, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, February 4th, 2011, in Inverary Manor, Inverness. Born in Glenville on June 12, 1912, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Mary (MacDonald) Gillis. She is survived by daughters, Christine (the late Raymond McKenzie) and Bernice MacNeil and son John MacIsaac (Sylvia), daughter- in- law, Liz Osmond and sister- in- law, Bea Gillis, Halifax. She is also survived by grandchildren, Paul (Flo), Tracey (Orville Osmond), Valerie (Ed Flynn), Tanya, Trevor, Tara, Alisha, Farlane, Vanessa, Shannon (the late Aaron Beaton), Craig (Tracey), Melissa (Iain MacDonald) and Brendon, granddaughter Jackie.She is also survived by fifteen great- grandchildren, Hillary, Ryan, Emma Jane, Trevor and Tessa, Marley and Alexia, Tylene, Evan, Morgan and Connor, Ella and Carter,Eric and Cambria.She was predeceased by her husband, Lauchie MacIsaac; eldest son, Hughie; brothers, Dan Joe, Hugh (Ivy), Sandy, John (Eva), Angus (Theresa), John Willy and Alexander. A very special thank you to her extended family, the staff of Inverary Manor who loved and cared for her over the past twenty years. She loved all of you!!! Many thanks to Dr. Bernie MacLean for his years of watching over her and to her many nieces and nephews for whom she loved deeply. Visitation will be held in Inverness Funeral Home on Sunday, February 6, 2011 from 7-9 pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 from Stella Maris Church, Inverness with Fr. Duncan MacIsaac officiating. Burial at a later date in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Inverary Manor or to Stella Maris Parish Cemetery Fund, Inverness.
