Wayne Richard MacLean

MacLean,Wayne Richard - 63, of Scotsville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Born in Inverness on January 29, 1949, he was a son of Donald Hugh MacLean and the late Nellie Josephine (MacLeod) MacLean. Wayne worked as a pulp cutter and a machine operator for many years. He loved to fish and enjoyed many good times with his friends. Wayne is survived by his father, Donald; brothers, Brian (Anne), Scotsville; John Alexander, Inverness; favourite uncle John T., Inverness; aunt, Beverly MacQuarrie, Port Hawkesbury; nephews, Donnie MacLean and David MacLean, both of Ontario; Josh MacLean, Truro; nieces, Maggie Maclean, New York; Abby MacLean, Abu Dhabi, Middle East. He was predeceased by his mother, Nellie; brother, Benjamin; sister, Margaret; uncles, George and Ainslie; grandparents, Donald and Mary Ann Maclean and Mable MacLeod. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 28, in Inverness Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in East Lake Ainslie Presbyterian Church with Rev Louis Ihasz celebrating. Burial to follow in East Lake Ainslie cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or to a Charity of your choice.
