April was born July 29, 1967 in Cut Bank, Montana to Spencer and Janet Oden, she lived in several places including Norway during her school years. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 1992 and lived in Quanah, Texas before moving to Iowa Park in 2004.
April is survived by her parents, her husband, Joe Morton of Iowa Park; brother, Alan Oden of Austin; her beloved boys, Greyson and Miles Slaton; ex-husband, Stanford Slaton of San Antonio, Texas; her ex-mother-in-law, Margy Slaton of Quanah, Texas; and her precious cat, Mikey. She passes on a love for cats to her boys.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, December 21, 2012 in the chapel at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. Graveside Services will follow in the Highland Cemetery.
