Billy was born in Miami, Arizona on May 31, 1942 to parents, Van Buren “Slick” Mullen and wife, Nelda Alberta (Rhoton) Mullen. He married Karen Sue Dunsmore on October 10, 1964, in Electra. He was a graduate of Electra High School and was employed by NATCO as a welder. He was a Baptist and also a member of the Army National Guard. His hobbies included the “Domino Club”, hunting and golfing. Billy was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Karen, of Electra, Texas; two sons, David Mullen, of Lubbock, Texas, and Greg Mullen and wife, Danielle, of Vernon, Texas; two sisters, Von Cille Jones, Electra, Texas and Nita Carter, of Fort Worth, Texas; and four grandchildren, Mandy, Jeremy, Jordan and Jason.
