Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 22, 2012, in the chapel at Dutton Funeral Home, Iowa Park. A private family interment will be held under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.
Bob was born in Vernon, Texas, on September 28, 1950 to Jewell and Bobbie Mantooth Horton. He had been a resident of the Iowa Park area 38 years, coming from Vernon. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from MSU and was an avid book collector who loved history and astronomy. He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother, Bobbie Feemster, of Iowa Park, Texas; 3 children, Timothy Horton of Montreal, Canada, Melinda Wilson of Iowa Park, Texas, and David Horton of Fort Worth, Texas; two grandchildren, Carolyn Horton and James Horton; three sisters, Rita Lee of Vernon, Texas, Joyce Gray of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Glenda Morris of Iowa Park, Texas, and a brother, Glen Horton of Weatherford, Texas.
Memorials are suggested to the Wichita County Humane Society or your local library.
