Dolores L Martin

Dolores L. Martin, 90, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 in Iowa Park, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 10 AM at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Joseph Shafer, Chaplain, Beyond Faith Hospice, officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. Visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the funeral home.

Dolores was born December 1, 1925 in Selden, Kansas to Ancel and Freda (Huffman) Scott. She married Ebb W. Martin on February 18, 1958 in Hereford, Texas. Dolores was a member of the Retired NCO Wives Club at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas. She loved crocheting, crafts and was an avid reader. She loved telling stories of the past and was the first to donate her time, crafts, and money to those in need. She was the definition of a “true giver.” Dolores was a very dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.

Dolores is preceded in death by her husband, Ebb W. Martin; her mother, Freda Munson; father, Ancel Scott; step-father, John E. Munson; sister, Phyllis Atkinson; brother, Richard Scott; brother, John E. Munson, Jr.; and grandsons, Ronnie and Cale Gresham.

Surviving relatives include her daughter, Janet Mathews and her husband, Roger of Iowa Park; son, Terry Martin and his wife, Lucille of Lafayette, Louisiana; 12 grandchildren, including Terry Norman and his daughter, Hayli; Cathy Gresham and her children, Mathew and Calecen; Lonnie Gresham and his wife, Pat and his children, Kathleen, Megan, and Kirsten; Nannette Armstrong and husband, Ken and their children, Kimbralene, Charlotte, and Connor; for a total of 25 great and nine great-great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Friendly Door Senior Citizens of Iowa Park.
