Emma Joe (Bartow) Davis, 86, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013 in Iowa Park. Graveside Services will be held in the Pavilion at Highland Cemetery at 10 AM on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 with Rev. James Hicks officiating. Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.
Emma was born April 23, 1927 in Vernon, Texas to Graham and Florence (Lowery) Bartow. She married James Maurice Davis on November 1, 1947 in Vernon. She was a homemaker who loved spending her time gardening and quilting. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Oliver, James, William, and Floyd Bartow; and one sister, Elizabeth Marshbanks.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Floyd Ray Davis and his wife, Sue and James Maurice “Jimmy” Davis, Jr. and his wife, Janice, all of Iowa Park; one brother, Harold Bartow of Wichita Falls; one sister, Dorothy White of Tucumcari, New Mexico; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
