

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 25, at Faith Baptist Church in Iowa Park, Texas. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Iowa Park, under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.
Herb was born July 20, 1928 in Cross Plains, Texas, son of the late Edna Diggs and Robert Adcock. He married Anita LuJeane Arnold in Hillsboro, Texas, and they celebrated 68 years of marriage in October. He moved to Iowa Park from Hillsboro in 1958. He graduated from Wayland Baptist College in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Education. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired as Chief of Curriculum Branch, Department of Civil Engineering Training at Sheppard Air Force Base on January 3, 1985. He later worked for Dutton Funeral Home, retiring in 2003. He was an active member of Faith Baptist Church, Iowa Park, joyfully serving as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Outreach Minister, Trustee, and on the Building Committee. Herb also served the community on the Boards of the Highland Cemetery and the Friendly Door Senior Citizens Center. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf, and was known for his contagious smile.
Survivors include his wife, Anita LuJeane; one son, Timothy Adcock, who resides in Abilene, Texas; and brother-in-law and wife, Kenneth and Nancy Arnold of Hillsboro, Texas.
The family suggests memorials, in lieu of flowers, to the Building Fund of Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park, the Friendly Door Senior Citizens Center of Iowa Park, or Highland Cemetery.
