

James Douglas Morrison, 72, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, April 9, 2015 in the pavilion at Highland Cemetery with Pastor Clifton McFadden, Word of Grace Church, officiating. There is no official visitation, but viewing will be from 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.
Douglas was born March 15, 1943 to James Daniel “JD” and Ethel Mae (Skinner) Morrison. He worked for 32 years on the assembly lines at Opportunity Workshop of Wichita Falls. In his younger years, he loved to go fishing with his father and his sister, Dianne. He enjoyed spending his time playing bingo, working word searches, going to bible studies, and visiting with his dad and “the guys” at the coffee shop. Douglas always enjoyed the holidays, especially Halloween, because he was able to give candy out to all of the children who came to visit. He loved to sit at the front entrance of the nursing home where he lived and greet all of the guests who came to visit Douglas was a member of Cash Street Church of God in Iowa Park. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving relatives include his sister, Dianne Vance and her husband, Dennis of Burlington, Colorado; special friends, Linda and Dale Perry of Iowa Park, and Helen and Larry Duncan of Henrietta, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of choice.
