Janice Kay Simmons Mowery

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 30, 2014, in the Chapel of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas, with Tim Hoke, Pastor of Regeneration Church, officiating. Committal service will follow in the Pavilion at Highland Cemetery, Iowa Park, under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Janice was born January 26, 1965 to Jerry “Jed” Kimes Simmons and wife, Maggie Dale (Kenyon) Simmons. She married Horace Bruce “James” Mowery on July 28, 1995. She was a cashier for Mrs. Seals Cookie Store and she attended Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She was a mother to all kids, and president of Order of the Eagles 3580. Her hobby was playing bingo and she loved going to casinos. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenneth Eugene Simmons.

Survivors include husband, James of Iowa Park; 3 daughters, Mindy Washburn of Iowa Park; Christi Richardson and husband, Flint, of Knox City, Texas; and Stephanie Sitz and husband, Kaven, of Archer City, Texas; very special boys, Alex, Ethan and Brynlee of Iowa Park; brother, Keith Allen Simmons of Iowa Park; sister, Pamela Jolene Bell of Gainesville, Texas; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Visitation with friends and family will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, June 29, 2014, at the funeral home.
