A Memorial service was held at 2 pm Friday, March 8, 2013 in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, Texas.
Mrs. Gardner was born in Electra, Texas to Joseph Owen and Anna (Epperson) Henderson. She and Jesse Gardner, Jr. were married, May 11, 1943 in Midland, Texas. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a homemaker. She has resided in the Wichita Falls area most of her life.
Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters: Carol Stamile of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Cheryl Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; grandson: Tom McCluskey of Wichita Falls, Texas, granddaughter: Kimberly Puricelli of San Antonio, Texas and three great grandchildren: Kassidy McCluskey, Matthew Puricelli and Chase Puricelli.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
