Patsy Lou Conn Stutte

IOWA PARK -- Patsy Lou Conn Stutte passed from this life to be with the Lord on Friday, August 5, 2011. She died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Wichita Falls, Texas, where she lived with her husband and daughter.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park with Gary Fielding of Davis, Oklahoma, officiating. Interment will be in Roosevelt Cemetery, Roosevelt, Oklahoma, under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Larry Stutte, and daughter, Grace Stutte, one sister, Linda Perdue of Dallas, Texas and her husband, Ron, one brother, Roy Stradley of Jamul, California and his wife, Bernice. She was preceded in death by her father, Marshall Conn, her mother, Pearl Stradley, stepdad, Earl Stradley and brother, Frank Conn.

Patsy was raised on the family farm outside Roosevelt, Oklahoma. She graduated from high school in 1972 and obtained a Bachelor Degree in Nursing at Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma. She later obtained her Master of Science Degree in Nursing at the Arizona State University. A few years later she earned a Ph.D in Nursing at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. Patsy was a long term member of Faith Baptist Church in Iowa Park.

Patsy’s greatest joy was being a mother to her daughter, Grace, and her proudest professional accomplishment was obtaining her certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her special interests were reading, traveling and being with family, but she especially enjoyed attending to her pet cats.

She was an accomplished nurse educator, and faithful wife, a loving mother, and a friend to many. We are all better people for having had her as part of our lives.

Visitation with family and friends will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials are suggested to Wichita County Humane Society or Faith Baptist Church, 411 South Wall, Iowa Park, TX 76367.
