

Richard Glenn Luna was born on September 2, 1937, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Clifford and Bessie Luna. He served in the Army National Guard for almost 7 years. While in the military he was station at Ft. Polk during the vietnam war.
Richard was a dedicated letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for 19 years. During his time with the postal service he earned a million mile pin for walking one million miles on the job. He was also a proud member of the National Association of Letter Carriers.
In his free time, Richard had a passion for playing Bluegrass music. He was skilled in playing the guitar, autoharp, and singing. He was an active member of the Red River Bluegrass Club and the Red River Renegades. In his later years, Richard enjoyed driving around, waving at everyone he knew. When he wasn't driving in his circles, he would make phone calls to those he loved. Richard was an avid member of Cashion Baptist Church.
Richard is survived by his son, Richard Glenn Luna Jr.; daughter, Melany Sarafis and husband Roy; daughter, Tracey Koby and husband Jack; son, Richard S. Luna; son, Charles G. Luna; sister, Casey Nitsche; sister, Linda Kowalick; brother, L. Charles Luna and wife Barbara; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Bessie Purser Luna, and his wife, Bobbie Lou Williams Luna.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Richards daughter Tracey's home from 7pm to 8:30pm the family will share more details on Facebook. A memorial service will be held at Cashion Baptist Church in Burkburnett, Texas on Thursday, August 24, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the National Association of Letter Carriers and Base Camp Lindsey.
