Sandra Watreas

Sandra Esparza Watreas passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Pearce, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.

Sandy was born April 29, 1950 to the late Henry and Bessie (Updyke) Esparza. She was a 1968 graduate of W.F. George High School, where she received the Judy Wilson award given to a senior student who is outstanding in loyal citizenship. She married Randy Watreas of Burkburnett, Texas on December 23, 1977.

Sandy worked at Cryovac for 24 years before retiring. She enjoyed walking around Gordon Lake, feeding the ducks, tending to her flowers and beloved cats.

Surviving relatives include her husband Randy of Iowa Park; her precious daughter, Rachel of Austin, Texas; special daughter and friend Beth Jutson of Austin, Texas; brother, Richard Esparza and wife Jennifer Brown of Dallas, Texas; brother-in-law, Robert Watreas of Wills Point, Texas and step-father-in-law, Andrew Ruday of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Tim Hunter, Randy Lovelady, Jerry Clifton, Joe Hughes, Kenneth Via and Larry Thompson.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, American Diabetic Association or First Baptist Church Building Fund and Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the funeral home.
