Shari Sue Gow, born on August 3, 1962, in Fort Ord, California, passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 63. She was a resident of Iowa Park, Texas. Shari was the beloved daughter of the late Richard McIlroy and Mary McIlroy (née Kreps).
Shari graduated from Carson High School in Carson City, Nevada, and furthered her education at Grand Canyon College, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1985. She dedicated over 35 years of her life to the nursing profession, serving as a registered nurse with compassion and expertise.
Growing up in a military family, Shari lived in numerous cities and states across the United States. She cherished her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them. Her personal interests included vacationing, scrapbooking and crafting, and she had a fondness for shopping with her mother. Shari was known for her love of storytelling, gift-giving, and her talent for hunting for the perfect gift.
Shari is survived by her daughters, Ashleigh Gow Brown (Toby Brown) and Aimee Gow Baker; her grandson, Ryan Scott Baker; and her brother, Scott McIlroy. She is also survived by numerous cousins.
A memorial visitation will be held on January 28, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Shari's warmth, generosity, and love for her family will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
