Stanley George Woods

He was born in Joplin, Missouri on January 31, 1944. He spent the early years of life in Hayward, Ca. , St. Jo, Tx, Childress, Tx., Munday, Tx. and then Holliday, Tx. where his family settled down in 1961.

While residing in Holliday, Texas, he met the love of his life, Dora Kay. The two got married on February 13, 1996. A few years later, Stanley and Dora gave life to Stanley George Woods II. Their son was the joy of their lives and their biggest blessing.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dora Kay Walker Woods, parents, C. E. and Gladys Woods, and his brother Sammy Jo.

He is survived by his son, Stanley G. Woods II, two sisters, Marylin Olene Stone of Holliday, Agnes Leota Woods of Lake Nocona & brother, Charles Ellis Woods of Auburn, Washington. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be Friday, December 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, December 10 at 2:00 pm at the Holliday Cemetery. Pastor Reggie Coe (Grace Church of Wichita Falls) will be officiating. A reception will follow at 3:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Holliday.
