

Born in Brooklyn, New York on July 24, 1937, to John and Frances Novello.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Adrian was devoted to her faith and was actively involved in her local church. Her generous and giving spirit was felt by all those that she touched while volunteering at the Greeneville Community Hospital, Greeneville, TN. As a teenager, Adrian was crowned “Miss Queen of the New York East Side” and was a model for the renowned American milliner, John P. John. Combining her beauty with a sharp intellect, Adrian graduated Summa Cum Laude from Baruch College of New York, New York with a BBA in Accounting and worked in the New York City’s Accounting Department. Expressing her love of cooking, Adrian also oversaw the culinary staff for the United States Military Academy, West Point’s summer youth program.
Known for her generous heart, caring nature and outgoing personality, Adrian was noted for her culinary skills and will fondly be remembered by her family and friends as an exceptional cook recognized for her elaborate four-course traditional Italian-style family dinners and mouth watering cheesecakes. There was never a stranger who crossed her threshold that did not become a friend.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Ashley Puleo of Chapin, SC, her son Richard Puleo of Sterling, Virginia and her daughter and son-in-law Frances and Pierre Belisle of Chesterfield, Virginia, her four grandchildren, Major Aleksandr Puleo, USMC, Captain Matthew Puleo, USA, Avery Belisle and Gabrielle Belisle and her brother-in-law and his wife Joseph and Joyce Puleo of Corrals, New Mexico.
In her passing, Adrian leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion and warmth. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Louis J Puleo of Greeneville, TN, her sisters, Rosalyn, Joselyn and Gloria and her daughter-in-law, Karen Puleo.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. Friends are invited to join the family in remembrance of this extraordinary woman.
