A service for Amanda Jayne Lucas Wanek, 41, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow in St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Rev. John P. Trump will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo.
Amanda passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of James and Jacquelyn Lucas. Amanda was a member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church. She was a graduate of Dutch Fork High School and Midlands Technical College where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Amanda worked for Lexington Medical Center until becoming a home maker following the birth of her children. She was a dedicated daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, Damian Wanek; children, Elijah, Noah, Layla and Addison Wanek; brother, Joel Lucas; mother-in-law, Wini Wanek-Marquez; and father-in-law, Jim Wanek. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jamie Lucas and Matthew Lucas.
