Ann Coleman Liles

Born on September 15, 1939 in Atlanta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Charles Crisp Coleman Jr. and the late MaryJeanne Barfield Coleman McClure.

Ann retired from the University of South Carolina where she served as Assistant Director of Purchasing for 30 year. She was a devout Gamecock fan and member for over 50 years. She was a member of Virginia Wingard United Methodist Church, where she volunteered many hours for her community. She loved the beach, enjoyed reading, and treasured her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons: John Robert Menger, married to Elena Menger, and William Charles Menger, married to Angela Sweeney. Additionally, she leaves behind two stepdaughters, Harper Liles and Melissa Liles, married to Tim Mills, as well as a stepson, Clark Liles. Ann was also cherished by 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and she is survived by her brother, Robert Charles Coleman, married to Karen Coleman. She was preceded in death by her former spouse, Johnny V. Menger; her husband, William Pierce Liles; and her daughter, Mary Katherine Menger.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Virginia Wingard United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church.

We will always be grateful for the memories and will carry her in our hearts forever.
