COLUMBIA - Anne Starnes Hale, 85, died Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Born in Lancaster, SC, she was a daughter of Clayton Chadwick Starnes and Willie Ruth Gaynor Starnes. She worked as a registered nurse in Critical Care and retired after 55 years of Nursing. Anne was a member of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are her daughters, Lynn “Sam” Ellington (Don DeFino), Amy Hale Cosborn (Don), and Annie Marsh (Greg), all of Columbia, SC; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Sue Rogers of Cocoa, FL.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gene Edward Hale; son, Eric Gregg Hale; daughter, Myra Hale-Carter, and brother, Barry Wayne Starnes.
A private service for family only will be held. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, is assisting the family.
