Mrs. Platt died Friday, December 31, 2021. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Leroy and Edna Wiles Parrott. She graduated from Columbia High School, Class of 1949, and was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her sons, James Marion Platt Jr., Steven Elliott Platt (Betty), Joel Timothy Platt (Valerie); daughter, Laurie P. Smith (Tim); sister-in-law, Helen Johnson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, James Marion Platt Sr. and a brother, James Parrott.
