As reserve army officer, he volunteered for active duty in February 1962 serving with the 82nd Airborne Division, Hqs. 3rd Infantry in Germany and the 4th Infantry in Viet Nam. After his military service, he worked for and retired from the State of South Carolina Employment Security Commission.
The family would like to thank the nursing and therapy staff at the Brian Center for all of their kindness and understanding during his stay at the facility.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice in his name.
