Funeral Service for Carline Boydston Bruce, 94, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo with burial to follow in Dutch Fork Baptist Church Cemetery, 3517 Dreher Shoals Road, Irmo. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Bruce went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 28, 2015. She was born in Hosston, Louisiana on February 17, 1921, a daughter of the late Pickney Calvin and Lucy Hill Boydston. Mrs. Bruce was preceded in death by her loving husband, LaPrelle Bruce and her son, Calvin Hunter Bruce. Surviving are three daughters, Rose Cain (Bill), Sharon Barnette (Jim) and Mary Ann Blanks (Ben). Mrs. Bruce also dearly loved and was loved by her nine grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed crossword puzzles. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dutch Fork Baptist Church, PO Box 345, Ballentine, SC 29002.
