Funeral Service for Caroline Branham Barber, 88, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. Burial will follow in St. Andrews Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Barber passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Mack Carrison Branham and Laura Sexton Branham. She was the wife of the late LTC James Woodrow Barber (USA-Ret). Mrs. Barber was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church. She was a retired Payroll Officer from Dorn VA Medical Center.
Surviving are her son, Richard “Rick” Barber; grandchildren, Marisa Barber Mammano (Donald), Richard Stephen Barber II (Katherine); great-grandchildren, Caroline Mammano, Scarlet Barber, Kellen Mammano; and brother, Dr. Mack Branham, Jr. (Jennie). She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Lynn Alexander. She is preceded in death by a son, Russell James Barber and a sister, Dorothy Branham Reyman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wescott Acres Rescue, 6005 Wescott Road, Columbia, SC 29212, in honor of her passion and love for animals.
