Funeral service for Charles Ray Shealy, 92, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Shady Grove United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo is assisting the family. Mr. Shealy passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014. Born in Pomaria, he was a son of the late Joseph M. and Alice Epting Shealy. He was the husband of the late Edith Eleazer Shealy. Mr. Shealy was a lifelong member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. He was the owner and contractor of C.R. Shealy and Son, Inc. Construction Company. He enjoyed farming, fishing and traveling. Surviving are his son, Charles Bennett Shealy; sisters, Mabel Cromer, Dorothy Boyd, Ruby Glymph, and Evelyn Dolittle. He was preceded in death by four brothers.
