
COLUMBIA - Clarence Furman Dailey Jr. passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 6, 2021 at Virginia Wingard Memorial United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, November 5, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. Due to the pandemic, masks and social distancing are required.
Born in Irmo S.C., he was the son of Clarence Dailey Sr. and Ethel Bickley Dailey. He was a proud graduate of Irmo High School, class of 1957. He was co-owner of St. Andrews Auto Parts with his friend and business partner, Tommy Wright, where their slogan was “We sell the Wright parts Dailey”. He was a charter member of Virginia Wingard Memorial UMC, and a member of the Buddy Richardson Men’s Bible Class.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Elizabeth “Liz” Dailey; son, Kevin Dailey of Cayce; daughter, Cindy Minnick (Jerry) of Irmo; granddaughters, Julie West (Jeff) of Irmo, Mallory Hoover (Jeff) of Gilbert; great-granddaughters, Nicole and Abby Hoover; sister, Nancy Driggers of West Columbia; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and his loyal granddog, Slick. He was predeceased by his parents and two infant siblings, Calvin and Vivian.
