Born and raised in the Lowcountry, Claude was a devoted husband, father, and brother. He enjoyed Gamecock football and spending time with his family and his dog, Zeus.
Surviving family includes his wife, Marcia Mobley; daughter, Beth Smith; and sister, Elizabeth Johnson. He was preceded in death by his son, Claude S. “Jay” Mobley Jr.; brother, James R. Mobley Jr.; and parents, Hazel and James R. Mobley.
A drop-in visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests honoring Claude through acts of kindness.
