Connie Fallaw Oliver, 75, surrendered to her battle with Alzheimer’s on July 7, 2016. Loved ones surrounded her as heaven embraced its long awaited angel. Connie is a treasured soul fondly remembered for her sweet smile and adoring eyes. Her sly wit and quick sense of humor kept everyone on their toes, and never left anyone without a smile. Her long simmered Southern cooking, open door policy, and loving nature meant an extra plate could always be set, and no one would go hungry. Throw a little music her way, and she would sway side to side in a way that would make you fall in love all over again. Every ounce of who she was will be held dear to the hearts of countless, because Connie opened her heart and her home to so many throughout her life.
She was a friend you were blessed to have known, a devoted wife only dreams were made of, a nurturing mother that was the definition of love, and a MiMi that always had a wink, a smile, and the time to hold you in a handstand because it meant she had the chance to love on you from another angle.
Connie leaves behind her high school sweetheart and husband of 55 years, Sewall Kemble Oliver III who loved her so fully and unconditionally. They spent many years together entertaining family, friends and neighbors in their home on the shores Lake Murray, and cheering on her beloved Gamecocks was a must! Her loving nature will carry on through her children, Kem Oliver, and wife Sherry of Irmo, SC, Robert Oliver, and wife Becca of Winston-Salem, NC, Jessica Goff, and husband Paul of West Columbia, SC. Her light will continue to shine through her 6 grandchildren: George Conniffe Oliver, 23, Ellen Bennett Oliver, 21, Susan McKinnon Oliver, 19, Kaiya McKinnon Goff, 10, Haliana Rippy Goff, 8, and Parker Kale Goff, 5. Her quick wit and love for Gamecock athletics is certainly shared with her brother Robert “Bob” Fallaw, of White Rock, SC.
She will forever be missed, but we know she is shining down on us from heaven, holding our hands when we need her, and holding a place for us until we meet again. Our forever love to our dearest angel, we love you.
