

CHAPIN - Della Mae Page Randolph passed away peacefully at home with her family on January 25, 2017, a week shy of her 97th birthday. She was born on February 1, 1920, in Aynor, SC to the parents of Cornelius and Della Page. She graduated from Aynor High School, attended Winthrop College and graduated from Draughon’s College of Commerce in Atlanta, GA. She moved to Columbia, SC in 1941. While working for Greyhound Bus Lines, she met the love of her life, Homer Benjamin Randolph, who predeceased her in 2000 after 55 years of marriage. Together they raised five children.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Homer "Bubba" Randolph and Pat, of Chapin; her daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Bobby Cole of Chapin; Kathy Roberts of Chapin; Becky and Tony Fazzini of Hilton Head Island; and Debra and Rob Ellis of Savannah, GA. In addition, she is survived by her beloved niece, Sarah Meselson of Yarmouth, Massachusetts. Also surviving are grandchildren, Page and Ricky Prosser, Travis Randolph, Melissa and Jamie Cooper, Beth Roberts, Rachel Ellis and Trey Ellis; great-grandchildren, Becca Prosser, Cole Prosser, Justin Greider, Faith Stanberry, Ryan Stanberry, Dylan Stanberry and Brooke Montgomery. She is survived by many nieces and nephews to whom she was affectionately known as Aunt Runt. She was predeceased by her sister, Bessie P. Lewis; brother, Jamie C. Page; grandson, Daniel Randolph; great grandson, Brent Stanberry; and son-in-law, Steve Roberts.
Della was a lifelong member of College Place United Methodist Church, a member of the Love Circle and worked as a homemaker. She loved to travel and was ready at a moment's notice to go on any venture. She enjoyed cooking and was famous for her homemade cheese wafers. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and touched the lives of all who came in contact with her. The family would like to express a special thank you to Rachel, Erin and Janie with Palmetto Health Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
Family visitation will be at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. with services following in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
